What is Injection Molding?

Injection molding is the most cost-effective way to manufacture plastic parts on a large scale. The process involves injecting molten plastic into a mold tool and then ejecting the solidified part. This process will be repeated hundreds or thousands of times quickly, and the cost of each part is relatively low. Since injection molding uses the same mold tool for each part, the quality of the injection molding parts is very stable. A variety of materials, colors, cosmetics, polishes and surface textures are available for injection molded parts.

Insert Molding

Insert Molding is an injection molding process that works especially well for audio accessories that have hardwares. It can also help you create better wheels, pulleys, fan blades, and other similar parts.

Overmolding

Overmolding lets you combine multiple materials into one part. One material, usually a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE/TPV), is molded onto a second material, which is often a rigid plastic. It’s a great way to make plastic parts perform and look better.

According to the requirements of product appearance, structure and size, Hunglik's experts team provided DFM suggestions, which included advices of mold information list, draft analysis, gate system, ejection system, parting line display, and undercut.

  Step 2  

For the undercut position, Hunglik's expert optimized it and confirmed with the client.

  Step 3  

Regarding the undercut position on the product, we have changed and improved the 3D structure, and then sent it to the guests for confirmation.

  Step 4  

Regarding the undercut position on the product, we have improved the 3D structure, and then sent it to the guest for confirmation.

  Step 5  

We provided mold flow analysis and checked the welding lines, sink marks and pressure drop of product.

  Step 6  

After DFM confirmed, Hunglik's expert carried out the 3D mold design.

  Step 7  

2D Mold Design.

  Step 8  

The mold has been completed, then carried out the T0 trial.

  Step 9  

We can provide fixed fixtures for products during measurement.

Injection Molding Finishing Services

Standard Finish

Moldmaker's choice of finish. Typically SPI A3 to SPI B1 depending on geometry and drafts. Interior, non-cosmetic faces, are typically as-machined.

SPI Finishes

Range of finishes from Grade 3 diamond / high polish to 320 stone low polish. Finishes include: SPI A-1 , SPI A-2, SPI A-3, SPI B-1, SPI B-2, SPI B-3, SPI C-1, SPI C-2, SPI C-3, SPI D-1, SPI D-2, and SPI D-3

MoldTech Finishes (Mold Texturing)

Range of finishes including matte, swirls, lines, and patterns. Our most common texture finishes include: MoldTech MT11010, MoldTech MT11020, and MoldTech MT11030. Other textured finishes can be added by request.

Threaded Inserts

We can install most commonly used standard inserts in UNF,NTP and metric sizes.
